Elephants oh my!

Lara and Dallas BD

I made two of this card, using a rubber stamp image from tattered art work. I used water color pencils to color with. The sentiment is from the Sweet stamp shop–love the Birthday set featuring the greeting in a wonderful assortment of fonts. The folks at the Sweet stamp shop are so sweet–love them! I’m sorry the photo didn’t turn out so nice–I have since learned to take the picture and look at it before sending out the cards!! I wanted to include this one though, because I thought it turned out quite elegant. I embossed the background piece with an embossing folder, and used Hero Arts white ink for the sentiments. I hadn’t found a white ink that I liked until Jennifer McGuire mentioned it on one of her videos! I think the spotted twill “ribbon” was just the right thing to make this card very elegant. A huge shout out to my smart, talented and beautiful niece, who was the recipient of one of these cards. She loves to experiment with art mediums and gives me courage to play with stuff too! I’ve started to work on a multi-media piece, with the encouragement of my niece and my amazing daughter. Also thanks to all the Veterans, in honor of this special day. I remember my Grandfather, who was in the cavalry during the first World War and all who have served us since.
